17th Annual Trendway Cruise-in Benefit, September 7, 2018

We (you) set an all-time record for the dollars raised this year at the Cruise-in. The Appledorn family will be so pleased!. This year’s Cruise-In beneficiary is 13-year-old Chloe Appledorn, who suffers from Anorexia Nervosa. All proceeds will be directed to help defer the accumulated burden of the hospital stay and ongoing medical services. We are so grateful that as a church family we can help in such a meaningful way.  Each year this event features food, entertainment, raffles, kids’ activities, and of course an amazing display of Street Rods, Customs, Motorcycles, Trucks, & Restored Vehicles. There were over 500 vehicles, 3,000 people and 36 volunteers from COS living generously. In addition to COS serving all the meals for the evening, Ed & Molly Schief (duo) provided music/entertainment, James Street Inn prepared and cooked all the burgers, brats and hot dogs and Leadfoot coordinated all the vehicle registrations for the evening. See the photo of the sponsors for a complete listing of all those folks that donated and to all the volunteers, (you know who you are), THANK YOU!  See our Facebook page for the complete photo gallery.

2018 – Picnic and Square Dance Jamboree

We had a great turnout for this year’s potluck picnic, which was moved inside due to weather. After the meal, everyone was invited to participate in a special square dance lesson, where circles of friends were made from every square!

16th Annual Trendway Cruise-in, September 8, 2017

The benefit for the Masterton family was a huge success and our team did an outstanding job of representing our Church. A beautiful day brought out well over 500 cars and around 3,000 people to the event. Thank you for your support in serving all those hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats for this very worthy cause. Kim Masterton was so very thankful and overwhelmed at how many people came out to help support her with all of  her medical bill from her husband Dan. Thank you all for giving of your God-Given gifts of love for one another.

A heartfelt thank you from Tom Nunheimer and Terry Reimink

These words, from Kim Masterton:

“How do you say thank you when thank you is not enough? Words cannot describe the amazing night and gift all of you have given to my boys and I. The event alone was unbelievable. The number of cars, number of people… all to support my family. What a beautiful night. We enjoyed every moment and my boys, Shane and Emmitt, smiled the whole time . Thank you.”

Vacation Bible School 2017 – In Jesus, the Victory is Won!

In VBS, children learned that Jesus gathers us together! They looked into the Bible, God’s Holy Word, and explored five Bible accounts where Jesus graciously gathers us together to be with Him with His abundant provision and saving protection, now and forever. Fifty-four children ages 4 years to those entering 6th grade attended VBS from July 18 – 20th. They sang fun songs, did crazy crafts, ate yummy snacks, played awesome games, and so much more.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and caregivers that brought their children to our event, to all the children that participated and learned about Jesus’ saving protection, and especially to all the VBS coordinators, leaders, speakers, tech crew, kitchen crew, craft crew, activities crew, classroom teachers, and everyone that worked so hard to make this all possible for God’s children to enjoy. Praise be to God!
